Why would I want to blog?
Several reasons come to mind and maybe one of them is viable. Writing is a lost passion and it seems to me that blogging might be a way to refresh that creative flow. For too many years, the focus targeted teaching writing and research toward my degrees. Now that I am past 50, perhaps I should reclaim my own passions. Dear Beth, I just had to comment on this, because it resonates with me so perfectly! Reclaiming our own passions after 50, yes!!! I really hope you continue to post on your blog. I think you have a true talent for writing and I have enjoyed reading everything (just wish there was more, especially about Italy). I know it is often difficult to keep up diaries when life is full of so many other distractions, you are all gung-ho at first, then the enthusiasm wanes, time passes, and you don't know where to pick up again, so you don't, until the urge grips you again (I have been a diary-writer all my life, so believe me, I know!), but I really do sincerely hope you will keep it up.
